Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Azam Khan has recently been the talk of social media due to a bizarre rumor. False news regarding his death circulated online, quickly reaching a wide audience. Khan himself responded to the matter with a touch of humor.
Instead of expressing anger over the false report, Khan took it lightly. He created a video with friends in which he poked fun at the fake news.

In the video, Khan pretended to speak about the person whose death had been falsely reported. He jokingly remarked that the individual was a good player who was destined to play for Pakistan one day. This response was clearly a satirical take on the fake news.
Through this, he also made it clear to everyone that the reports of his death were completely unfounded. This incident once again highlights the issue of unverified news spreading on social media; misinformation concerning athletes and public figures, in particular, can go viral very quickly.
Azam Khan has played 14 T20 International matches for Pakistan so far, scoring a total of 88 runs. His last appearance for the national team was against the USA in the 2024 T20 World Cup, held in Dallas on June 6. He has not featured in the Pakistan squad since then.
However, despite his absence from international cricket, Azam remains active in domestic and franchise cricket. He represented the Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Super League.
