The only player ahead of Abhishek on this list is now Andre Russell, who hit 400 sixes in 3,027 balls.
By hitting 7 sixes in his innings against Pakistan, Sharma also equaled another notable record. He matched Yuvraj Singh’s record for the most sixes hit in a single innings during an India-Pakistan T20 match; Yuvraj had hit 7 sixes against Pakistan in Ahmedabad in 2012.
Sharma has now hit a total of 14 sixes against Pakistan in T20 Internationals—the highest tally among Indian batsmen. He surpassed Virat Kohli’s record of 11 sixes in this regard.
