On Tuesday, October 27, 2026, Pakistan, the reigning champions, announced a 15-person squad for the U-19 Asia Cup, which will take place in Oman from November 5–14. The Pakistan Cricket Board has confirmed that Farhan Yousuf will be the team’s captain and that the team will depart Karachi on October 29.
Pakistan, India, Nepal, and the United Arab Emirates have been assigned to Group A of the eight-team competition. Abdul Qadir and Hamza Zahoor, two wicket-keeper-batters, are part of the chosen group. Usman Khan, Hayam Khan, Jahangir Bilal, and Huzaifa Ahsan make up the batting unit.
The middle order is balanced by all-rounders Ahmed Hussain and Hasnain Abbas Dar. Abdul Subhan, Mohammad Seyam, Ali Raza, and Rizwanullah form the core of the pace attack, while Mohammad Huzaifa and Niqab Shafiq are the two front-line spin options.
Only Ali Raza and Huzaifa Ahsan were missing from the Pakistan U-19 team that defeated England 3-1 in a four-match Youth ODI series in September 2026 out of the fifteen players selected for the continental event, demonstrating the consistency in selection.
On November 6, Pakistan begins their title defense against the United Arab Emirates. Three days later, on November 8, they play India, their bitter rivals. On November 10, they play Nepal to complete their group obligations. Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, and Afghanistan make up Group B. The final is scheduled for November 14, and the semi-finals are scheduled for November 12.
