Regarding the match itself, the Indian team won the toss and elected to bowl first. The West Indies batted brilliantly, posting a total of 405 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their allotted 50 overs.
For the Caribbean side, John Campbell (101), Shai Hope (104), and Amir Jangoo (114) played impressive innings. On the bowling front for India, Gurnoor Brar, Ravindra Jadeja, and Kuldeep Yadav claimed two wickets each, while Prasidh Krishna took one.
