Aaryavir Sehwag has been selected by the Delhi and District Cricket Association to captain their Under-19 team in the 2026–2027 Vinoo Mankad Trophy One Day Tournament. The 18-year-old right-handed batter, who is the son of former India opener Virender Sehwag, assumes his first major domestic leadership position. On October 8, the competition is set to begin in Visakhapatnam.
Arnav Bugga was named vice-captain with Sehwag in the DDCA’s official 16-man team for the competition. After Aaryavir Sehwag’s recent exposure to India, the position occurs at a significant juncture in his development. Aaryavir Sehwag scored 109 runs throughout the series while playing in all three of the Youth ODIs against Australia.
