On July 4, 2023, Ajit Agarkar was named Chairman of the Senior Men’s Selection Committee. He held this position for just over three years, until October 2026. India won three significant ICC championships while he was in charge of selection: the 2024 T20 World Cup, the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy, and the 2026 T20 World Cup.
These wins in a variety of formats demonstrated how consistently the teams put together under Agarkar’s direction performed.
