According to medical reports, Patekar suffered a cardiac arrest at his private residence in Goa. He was found unconscious early in the morning and was immediately rushed to Manipal Hospital in Dona Paula around 5:20 AM. The medical team made every effort to save him, administering continuous CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) for about 45 minutes, but the veteran artist could not be saved.
This shocking news sent a wave of grief across the sports and entertainment worlds, as well as among the general public. Indian cricket star Virat Kohli paid tribute to the late actor’s extraordinary contributions on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter).
