The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) Women’s Selection Committee has announced the Indian women’s squad for the upcoming home bilateral series against Zimbabwe. The six-match series comprises three T20Is followed by three ODIs, scheduled to take place between October 16 and October 28.
Star batter Smriti Mandhana will lead the team in both formats (having been appointed India’s full-time captain following Harmanpreet stepping down from the role). Explosive opener Shafali Verma will serve as her deputy for the T20I squad, while experienced all-rounder Deepti Sharma has been named vice-captain for the ODI series.
Both 15-member squads feature a blend of experienced players and emerging talent. Veterans Harmanpreet Kaur and wicketkeeper Richa Ghosh are included in both formats, alongside talented players such as Nandani Sharma, Sri Charani, and Kranti Gaud.
