“It’s about keeping things simple and not overthinking” – Ishan Kishan
Speaking at the post-match press conference, Ishan Kishan said, “It’s about keeping things simple and not overthinking. We played today, and we know the conditions won’t be easy—especially since they are a team that plays well against spin.”
Ishan Kishan added, “You don’t dwell on what might happen in two days. You just stay calm, play your shots, live in the moment, and enjoy those crucial phases of the game.”

Ishan Kishan emphasized the importance of remaining calm during challenging moments rather than looking too far ahead. Meanwhile, Pakistan, led by Sahibzada Farhan, reached the final after securing a six-wicket victory over Bangladesh in a rain-affected first semi-final. With both nations eager to assert their dominance on the continent, the gold medal match promises to be a high-voltage encounter filled with thrilling action. Ishan said, “It’s always all about India here.
There are flags everywhere and so many people cheering for you. It evokes a unique feeling, even if you don’t openly express it. But yes, I think you realize it is a different kind of experience; even though we have a great team with excellent bowlers and batters, to be honest, I feel there is a bit more pressure here.”
