After nearly four years away, Bhuvneshwar Kumar finally returned to bowling duties for the Indian team during the first Twenty20 International against New Zealand. The right-arm pacer bowled well in his opening over during the high-scoring match at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch, swinging the ball to trouble the aggressive Kiwi opening pair and giving up just four runs. But in the end, he finished with figures of 0/49 in four overs.
According to Hanuma Vihari, Bhuvneshwar’s no-ball in his second over marked a turning point in his spell, and the seasoned pacer was unable to bounce back. The 36-year-old’s situation deteriorated after that over went for 17 runs. Vihari, however, asked admirers and professionals to give Bhuvneshwar a little more time to settle into his rhythm. Everybody was anticipating his return. The first over was excellent. He used an outswinger to beat Seifert. He bowled in the proper places.
However, Vihari claimed on his YouTube channel that “that no-ball in the second over changed everything for him.”He may have lost some confidence after that over because it was costly. Not the return we had hoped for. But don’t worry. It’s been a long time since he played. Play a few games with him. When he gets into that rhythm, we know what he can accomplish. Because of his experience, he will fix it. He’s human, after all,” he continued.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar had a promising first over
Over the course of four overs, Bhuvneshwar’s final match figures were 0/49. The experienced bowler had a challenging performance on his return to the international scene after such a long absence, as evidenced by the runs given up and the lack of wickets.
During the high-scoring match, every bowler had difficulties, but Vihari was especially pleased with Nitish Kumar Reddy’s performance. The all-rounder’s figures of 0/40 in four overs showed his efforts in challenging bowling conditions, and Vihari pointed out that the Indian team benefited greatly from him finishing his allotted overs. Everyone was pricey.

The best bowler, in my opinion, was Nitish. Bias doesn’t exist. It was a challenging stage when he entered the attack, according to Vihari. The hitters were ready. He bowled the crucial overs, and in my opinion, he did a fantastic job. He bowled four overs at a respectable pace, so congratulations,” he continued.
